Obituary of William Harry Tymchuk
William H. Tymchuk 93 years of Peabody, husband of the late Eleanor (Upton) Tymchuk, died Thursday evening in Salem Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Tymchuk was born June 2, 1910 in Peabody son of the late Onorfy and Mary (Mesbevich) Tymchuk. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a lifelong resident. During WWII he served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman First Class.
Mr. Tymchuk was employed for the City of Peabody as a custodian for many years at the Samuel Brown School in Peabody until his retirement. Prior to this he had worked for the Verza Leather Company of Peabody.
He was a member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Leo Council 508 in Peabody and a Fourth Degree Knight of the Father Gabriel Druillette Assembly of Salem. He was also a member of the VFW Fidelity Post 1011 of Peabody and the Sons of Spanish American War Veterans.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Ruth M. Upton of Peabody and many friends.
As requested funeral services will be private. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date
