Obituary of Luis Pedrosa da Silva

Luis Pedrosa da Silva 81 years, husband of Maria Emilia (Antunes) da Silva of Peabody, died Monday evening at the Peabody Glen Health Care Center in Peabody. Mr. Da Silva was born on April 11, 1922 in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal son of the late Joaoquim and Julia (Pedrosa) da Silva. He was raised and educated in Portugal and immigrated to the United States 27 years ago making his home in Peabody. Mr. Da Silva was employed as a laborer at Bicknell & Fuller in Peabody until his retirement. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter and her husband, Maria and Henry Faria of Peabody; a brother, Julio da Silva of Brazil; 2 sisters, Silvina Teles and Nazare Pedrosa of Portugal; 3 grandchildren, Susan, Brian and Melissa Faria all of Peabody and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a sister Maria Julia da Silva. His family will be receiving relatives and friends Thursday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody location.
