Obituary of Walter E Palmer
Walter E. Palmer, 52, of Peabody, died early Friday afternoon at his home following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Linda Palmer with whom he shared over 12 years of marriage.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late William and Eileen (Bergeron) Palmer. He was raised and educated in Tewksbury, moved to California in his Senior Year of High School and graduated from Mount Diablo High School in Concord, California. He has spent the last 12 years living in Peabody.
He was a materials distributor for the Polaroid Corporation until his recent illness, and worked for over 30 years between the Needham, Waltham and Cambridge Plants.
He enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Audubon Society. He also was a sports enthusiast and an avid Red Sox Fan.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by a son, Scott Palmer of Sanford, Maine; two daughters, Jennifer Lycett of Merrimack, NH, and Christine Palmer of Nashua, NH; his two stepchildren, Jeffrey and Lindsay Feilteau of Peabody; three brothers, John, William, and Mark Palmer all of California; a sister, Ruth Palmer of Shrewsbury; seven grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the brother of the late Margery Reed.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Tuesday from 5 until 8 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
