Obituary of Elizabeth (Bitchell) Henault

V. Elizabeth (Bitchell) Henault, 54, of Peabody, died early Friday morning at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Russell Henault with whom she shared over 35 years of marriage. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of Stanley and Virginia (Maher) Bitchell of Peabody. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and was a graduate of St. Chrétien’ s Academy in Salem. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Para Professional for the North Shore Education Consortium in Peabody. She was a long time supporter of the Peabody Youth Football program and also enjoyed gardening and was an avid bridge player. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by a son, Seth T. Henault of Lynn, a daughter and son-in-law, Bridgette and Michael Bettencourt of Peabody; a sister, Suzanne Smith of Siesta Keys, Florida; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Ruth Bitchell of Byfield, six grandchildren, Kaylynn, Trenton, and Layne Henault of Lynn and Sara, Julia, and Lea Bettencourt of Peabody and also is survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility to which relatives and friend are invited to attend. At the request of the family a private burial will be held a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to a charity of one’ s choice.
