Obituary of Corinne May (Jordan) Esancy
Corinne May (Jordan) Esancy, 86, of Raymond, NH and
Formerly of Peabody, Ma., died unexpectedly Wednesday after taking an ill turn while
driving with her husband. She was taken to the Exeter Hospital where she was pronounced. She was the wife of Bernard C. Esancy.
Mrs. Esancy was born in Camden, Maine on July 7, 1917, the daughter of the late
Walter and Helen (Curry) Jordan and had resided in Peabody for 49 years before moving to Raymond, NH a year ago.
She was first employed as a secretary to a Windjammer Company in Camden, Maine.
Later she was a waitress for Luther Witham Catering Service in Lynn for 20 years. She
was also a secretary for many years at the First Baptist Church in Lynn and later at the
First Baptist Church in Peabody.
She was active for many years at the First Baptist Church in Peabody and later at the
Former Trinity Church in Lynnfield. She served as a Deaconess, a member of the Board of Missions and was supervisor for the Sunday School Program for many years.
She
Was a Life Member of the Eastern Star. She also enjoyed music and played the organ and violin.
Surviving her besides her husband of 62 years of marriage are 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Susan Esancy of Beverly, Ma and David and Lori Esancy of Raymond, NH, 6 grandchildren, Kevin Esancy and Jennifer Burns both of Beverly, Maryanne Maunsell of So. Boston, Ryan Ouellette, Lindsay and Matthew Esancy all of
Raymond, NH, 2 great grandchildren, Jessica and Stephen Robinson of Beverly and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until
6:00 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to The Baptist Missions, c/o New Life
