Obituary of John J. Howard

John J. Howard PEABODY John J. Howard, 87, beloved husband of Rosemary L. (Smith) Howard, died Saturday morning at the Rosewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Peabody following a long illness. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late James and Katherine (Monaghan) Howard. He lived in Revere and Everett for many years, and lived in Peabody for the last 31 years. Mr. Howard worked as a Fish Broker on the Fish Pier, with the R.M. Kelly Company for many years before retiring 22 years ago. He enjoyed his family and golf, and was a member of the Winthrop Golf Club, and the Sagamore Club of Chelsea. He is survived by: his wife, Rosemary (Smith) Howard of Peabody, three daughters and sons-in-law, Anne & Dennis King of Chelmsford, Patricia & John Gallagher of Stoughton, and Margaret Howard of Beverly; one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel & Valerie Howard of ME; one daughter-in-law, Pamela Howard of CA; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Howard of Wilmington, NC, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by a son, John Howard, a brother, James Howard, and sister Ellen Hargadon. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 12 Chestnut St. Location, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Adelaide’ s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friend are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 P.M. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody
