Obituary of Leonard Duane Corbett

Leonard Duane Lenny Corbett, 57, died unexpectedly Friday at his home. A native of Lynn, he was born on May 4, 1947 the son of Roderick L. and Alberta J. (Dingee) Corbett of Peabody and had resided here most of his life. He spent his youth in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School in 1965. He then entered the U.S.Army with the Combat Engineers Divison during the Vietnam War serving in Vietnam for 3 years and 3 years with the reserves until his discharge in 1972. He was a member of the Vietnam Vets of Lynn. Following his discharge, he was employed at the G.E. at the River works plant, Lynn for 20 years until a disability retirement to his back in 1989. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Bruins. Surviving him besides his parents of Peabody are a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and George Innis of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 Until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility. Relativies and friends kindly invited. A Private Family Service will be held Wednesday with committal in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
