Obituary of Agnes (Kozik) Luz

Agnes (Kozik) Luz, 79, of Peabody died early Friday morning at her residence after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Peabody Police Officer Anthony Luz. She was born in Salem on March 15, 1925, the daughter of the late Basil and Telka (Halko) Kozik, and had resided there before moving to Peabody 53 years ago. She was first employed at the Salem Laundry Company and later at the GTE Sylvania Co. at the Boston St. Salem Plant. She later worked in the cafeteria with the Peabody School Lunch Program and then was employed with the General Electric Co., Lynn. She later retired from the Peabody School Lunch program. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and doing arts and crafts. She is survived by 4 sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Susan Luz, Anthony Luz, and David and Amber Luz all of Peabody and James Luz of Danvers, a daughter and son-in-law, Susan J. and Todd Himmer of Methuen, a sister, Mary Skaliotis of Danvers, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alexander Kozik and Elizabeth Betty Tsaltas. A Family Funeral Service was held on Tuesday at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody.
