Obituary of Edward T. Luponi

Peabody, May 16, 2004. Edward T. Luponi, 79, of Peabody died Sunday at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington following a long illness. He was the husband of Rose (Ayers) Luponi with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. He was born in Southbridge, Ma. On March 15, 1925, the son of the late Eustachio and Vingenca (Guardiani) Luponi and was raised and educated there. He had resided in Mississippi and later in Lynn, Ma before moving to Peabody 40 years ago. He had been a plant manager at the Vernon Plastics Company of Haverhill, MA for more than 20 years prior to his retirement in 1985. He liked making Stain Glass and Woodworking and enjoyed being with his family. Surviving him besides his wife are a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Lori Luponi of Hampton Falls, NH, 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Wally Sutton of Athol, Ma., Linda and Greg Queene of Kingston, NH and Mary and Frank Edwards of Peabody, Ma; 2 sisters, Celia Bellerive of Nashua, NH and Cam Dupaul of Southbridge, Ma., 9 grandchildren, Sherri Allen, Kim Gushlaw, Kelly and Becky Donahue, Debbie Wright, Frank and Steven Luponi, Tami White and Crystal Edwards, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Elda Blakeley. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 A.M. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. A Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 Prior to the Service. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park,Peabody.
