Obituary of Robert Edward Nagle

Robert E. Nagle, 57, of West Peabody, died Thursday evening at the Brigham & Women’ s Hospital, Boston after a nine month battle with AML Leukemia. He was the husband of Christine (Dyer) Nagle with whom he shared 18 years of marriage. He was born in Lynn, MA on July 17, 1946, the son of Catherine L. (Mac Donald) Nagle of Revere and the late William R. Nagle and had resided in Revere before moving to West Peabody 18 years ago. He was a graduate of Revere High School and ITT Institute. He had been employed in the computer industry as a technician and Information Specialist for 20 years prior to his illness. He had been active in the Peabody Basketball Association as a coach in the youth leagues and also helped coach baseball in the Peabody Western Little League. He enjoyed being with his family. Surviving him besides his wife and mother are a daughter, Jennifer Nagle, 16, a sophomore at PVMHS and a son, Matthew Nagle, 12, a 6th grade student at Higgins Jr. High School both of Peabody, a sister Barbara Correia of Chelmsford and many loving Relatives and friends. His funeral will be held on Tuesday from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’ s Church, Lowell St., West Peabody at 10:00 a.m. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Memorial donations may be made to the Nagle Children’ s Education Fund, c/o Banknorth, cor. Lowell & Russell St., Peabody, Ma. 01960 or to Dr. Richard Stone,Leukemia Research Fund, Dana Garber Cancer Center, 44 Binney St., Boston, Ma. 02115 in his memory.
