Obituary of Dolly F. (Miron) Young Joltki

Dolly F. (Miron) Young Joltki 80 years, wife of the late Mishel C. Joltki and former wife of the late Martin W. Young, died Sunday morning at the Peabody Glen Nursing Center in Peabody. Mrs. Joltki was born February 14, 1924 in Paris France daughter of the late Philippe and Germaine (Jobert) Miron. She was raised and educated in Paris and immigrated to the United States on January 20, 1941 due to the German invasion of Paris during WWII. She made her home in Lynn from prior to entering the nursing facility. Following her arrival to the United States she attended the former Sunnyside Hospital in Somerville and became a nurse’ s aide. Mrs. Joltki was employed for several years as a nurse’ s aide retiring in 1980 from Salem Hospital. In 1987 she was employed as a cook at St. John the Baptist Rectory in Peabody until 2001. Along with her many friends at the Chestnut Gardens in Lynn she enjoyed participating in their social activities. She is survived by 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Suzanne F. Nevins of Peabody, Jacqueline O. and James Savarino of No. Andover and Denise A. and Stephen Demakis of Concord NH; a son, Philippe A. Young of Brockton; a sister, Pierrette DeLys of Ojai CA; 9 grandchildren, Melissa, Brianna and Shaighla Nevins, Jason and Martine Demakis, James and Olivia Savarino, Ashley and Cody Young; a great grandson, Mason Davis of Peabody; a niece, Martine Copeland of NV and a nephew Daniel Irison of TX. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody. Relatives and friends may pay their respects Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody location. A family committal of ashes will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Peabody Glen Nursing Center, 199 Andover St., Peabody MA 01960
