Obituary of Rose (George) Titus

Rose (George) Titus, 85, of So. Peabody died early Sunday morning at her residence after a long illness. She was the wife of John Titus with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody, born on November 18, 1918, and was the daughter of the late John and Panayita (Petrakis) George. She attended Peabody Schools. She had been employed at the former GTE Sylvania in Salem for many years. Later she worked at the Town Lyne House Restaurant in Peabody and then at Eden’ s Restaurant in Danvers prior to her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and being with her family. She is survived by her husband, John, of Peabody, 2 sons and daughters-in-laws, Nicholas and Suzanne Titus of Peabody and John and Shannon Titus of Lynn, a sister, Sophie George of Peabody, 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Nicholas George, Demetra Pappas, Mary Baker and Stacia Karamas. A Family Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, No. Shore Chapter, 29 Lowell St., Peabody Ma. O1960 in her memory.
