Obituary of Marie C (Hollohan) Riley
Marie C. (Hollohan) Riley, 86, of Peabody, died early Monday afternoon at the Hunt Nursing and Rehab center in Danvers, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Francis Henry Riley.
Born in Summerville, Newfoundland, Canada, she was daughter of the late John and Suzannah (McKay) Hollohan. She was raised and educated in Canada, later lived in Revere for seven years and has spent the last 12 years living in Peabody.
Prior to her retirement in 1983, she worked for over 15 years an assembler for the Polaroid Corporation in Cambridge. She was an avid reader, loved the Boston Red Sox and also enjoyed hooking rugs.
She is survived by a loving son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Donna M. Riley of Peabody; a brother, Lawrence Hollohan of Canada; sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Dave Tullgren of Jacksonville, Fla; and is also survived by four loving grandchildren, David, Marisa, Trina, and Haley Riley, all of Peabody.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Thursday from 4 until 7 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
