Obituary of Helen (Lane) Wilson

Helen (Lane) Wilson, 99, of Peabody and Wakefield, died Sunday at the Sunrise Assisted living in Peabody. She was the wife of the late Atty. Bruno W. Wilson. She was born in Peabody on May 3, 1907, the daughter of the late Patrick J. And Rose (Nangle) Lane and was raised and educated here. She was a graduate of Salem Normal School, now Salem State College and also Boston College. She was a teacher in the Peabody School System for nearly 40 years prior to her retirement. She lived with her family in Wakefield for 50 years prior to returning to Peabody. She is survived by a son, Dr. Kenneth L. Wilson and his wife, Dr. Sharon S. Wilson both of Livermore, California, a granddaughter, Mary Catherine Wilson of Berkeley, CA, and many nieces and nephews including Atty. Jean Carey Davis of Andover, MA, Nancy Lane Carey of Danvers, Catherine M. Carey of LA, California, Rev. Arthur C. Flynn of Woburn and many grand nieces and grand nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Lane Flynn, Rose Lane, Catherine Lane Carey and Dr. John Lane. A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody Facility. Her Funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church Peabody at 11:00 AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
