Obituary of Constance (Cheklas) Croteau

Constance Connie (Cheklas) Croteau 80 years, wife of the late Edward B. Buddy Croteau, died Monday July 5, 2004 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. Mrs. Croteau was born in Peabody February 23, 1924 daughter of Louis and Stella (Theodorecopoulos) Cheklas. She was raised and educated in Peabody. Since 1955 she has resided in Salem. Mrs. Croteau was employed for 42 years as an assembler at the former GTE Sylvania Loring Avenue Plant in Salem until her retirement. She also enjoyed traveling. Mrs. Croteau is survived by a sister, Helen Cheklas of Salem and a close companion, Frances Mowbray of Salem. At her request a graveside service will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Harmony Grove Cemetery, 30 Grove St., Salem. Father Andrew Demotses will officiate. Burial in Harmony Grove Cemetery.
