Obituary of Cora H. (Dube) Henderson

Cora H. (Dube) Henderson, 96, of Peabody and formerly of Marshfield and Fl, died Thursday evening at the Rosewood Nursing Center, Peabody after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Sterling D. Henderson. She was born in Winterville, Maine on April 25, 1908, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Chasse) Dube and was raised there and had resided in Berlin , NH and later in Hyde Park, MA. She then moved to Marshfield, Ma where she operated Cora’ s Clam Shack there for 5 years before retiring and moving to Largo, Florida. She had been a Sales Representative for the Singer Sewing Machine Company in Needham for many years and also taught sewing lessons in adult education classes in Boston for many years. She had resided in Peabody for the past 6 years. She is survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Vanita Mc Guirk of West Peabody and Patricia H. and John W. Sheehy of Osterville,Cape Cod, a sister, Yvonne Leo of Portland, ME, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 13, at 11:00 AM in St. Adelaide’ s Church, Lowell St., West Peabody. A visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill - Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
