Obituary of Harold E. "Kim" Kimball

Harold E. “Kim” Kimball, 58, husband of Jean L. (Parent) Kimball of Tavares Florida formerly of Tewksbury, died Saturday July 15, 2006 at his home following a lengthy illness. Mr. Kimball was born December 22, 1947 in Lynn son of the late Harold and Jean (Trudell) Kimball. He was raised and educated in Peabody. Mr. Kimball enlisted in the United States Navy in 1967 and served until 1971. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He then remained in the Naval Reserve from 1971 until receiving his honorable discharge in 1973. He resided in Tewksbury for many years before moving to Florida in 2003. Mr. Kimball was employed for 32 years as a welder with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts bridge crew until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of the Tewksbury Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed fishing, boating and summering at his camp in NH. His family was first and foremost and he adored his little granddaughter Cassy. In addition to his wife of 37 years, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Brian and Christina Kimball of Lawrence, Jennifer and James Perrin and their daughter Cassy Perrin of Occoee FL and Lawrence “Larry” Kimball of Umatilla FL; 2 brothers and their wives, Thomas and Claudia Kimball of Peabody, Daniel and Paula Kimball of Hampstead NH; many nieces, nephews, cousins and several close friends. His funeral service will be held on Friday July 28, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., (new facility) Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be held Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
