Obituary of Victoria (Melanson) Minton

Victoria (Melanson) Minton 77 years of Peabody, wife of the late Thomas James Minton II, died Saturday at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. Mrs. Minton was born July 21, 1926 in Epping NH daughter of the late Abel D. and Bella (LeBlanc) Melanson. She was raised and educated in Lynn. Since 1954 she has resided in Peabody. Mrs. Minton devoted her entire life to her family. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling, mahjong and traveling. Mrs. Minton is survived by 3 sons and their wives, Michael and Betty Minton, Peter and Jodi Minton all of Peabody, Thomas James Minton III and Debi Minton of Standish ME; 3 daughters and a son-in-law, Caren Cowper of Wolfeboro NH, Paula and Steven Rayworth and Judi Minton all of Peabody; several sisters and brothers; 15 grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Tommy IV, Ben, Jessica, Heather, Tommy, Height, Mikki, Lynsay, Stevie, Bryan, Jake, Nick and Courtnie; 3 great grandchildren, Shylah, Alysa and Heith and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody location followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Adelaide Church, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Lynn
