Obituary of Thomas C. Finamore
Thomas C. Finamore, 77, of Andover, and formerly of Peabody, Ma, died Friday morning at the Wingate at Andover Nursing Home after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Agnes L. Aggie (Briza) Finamore who died last year.
He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, on July 19, 1927, the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Giodano) Finamore and later resided in Peabody for several years. He and his wife lived in Kissimmee, Fl for 10 years before returning to Andover 2 years ago.
He was been a truck driver and first worked for the Wagner Pie Co. of New York and later in Boston; he drove for Blanchard Liquors for many years. He then drove for the
Eagle Can Company of Peabody for 27 years prior to his retirement in 1992.
He was a veteran of WW 11 serving with the US Navy and was a member of the Sea Bees Unit as a carpenter’ s mate 3rd class.
He enjoyed gardening, traveling, and reading and gathering WW 11 history.
He is survived by a son Thomas R. Finamore and his companion, Maureen Doron of Salem, a daughter and son-in-law, Diane D. and Alfred R. Mikson of Methuen, Ma., a brother, Joseph Finamore of Spring Hill, FL and a sister, Carrie Finamore of New York, 3 grandchildren, Lance and Samantha Finamore of Groveland, and Anthony Finamore of Merrimac, Ma., a great grand child, Jada Finamore of Merrimac, MA and several nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody facility. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 12 Noon at the family lot in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Relatives and friends kindly invited. For directions and guestbook visit ccbfuneral.com.
