Obituary of Leita M. (Hodgdon) Mc Kinnon

Leita M. (Hodgdon) Mc Kinnon, 73, of Peabody died Saturday at her home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late John D. Mc Kinnon. She was born and raised in Lynn, MA on December 19, 1930, the daughter of the late Walter Ira and Alice (Litch) Hodgdon and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. She had resided in Peabody for the past 41 years. She had been the Principal Clerk at the Registry of Deeds in Salem for 27 years prior to her retirement 19 years ago. She had been a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the AOH, Div. 11 of Peabody. She enjoyed shopping, reading, traveling, knitting and being with her family. She is survived by a son and daughter - in-law who cared for her at their home, Kevin and Rhonda Mc Kinnon of Peabody, 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Colleen and Paul Moran and Joan Mc Kinnon all of Lynn, Ma., 5 grandchildren, Kristin Spencer of Amesbury, John and Eric Mc Kinnon of Peabody and Paul and Derek Moran of Lynn, 2 great grandchildren, Steven and Savannah and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Marilyn Adams and the mother of the late Timothy Mc Kinnon. Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 9:00 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Visiting hours on Tuesday form 4:00 until 8:00 PM Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
