Obituary of Atty Charles A Woods

Atty. Charles A. Woods, 69, of Marblehead, died early Friday morning at the Devereux House in Marblehead from complications from Parkinson’ s disease. Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Charles A. Woods and Margaret (Johnson) Woods. He was raised in Peabody and later lived in Danvers for many years and had spent the last 30 years living in Marblehead. He was a graduate of St. John’ s Prep in Danvers; class of 1953, and received a B.S. degree from Northeastern University. He received his Law Degree from Boston College. He was a veteran of the Korean War who served with the United States Army. He had his law practice in Peabody for over 13 years and later he practiced law in the Marblehead/Lynn area for 16 years before his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf and was a former member of the Salem Country Club in Peabody and Tedesco Country Club in Marblehead. He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-laws, Karen Woods of Manchester, NH, Susan and John Sullivan of Chelmsford and Ann and Troy Page of Danville, Ca; a son and daughter and son-in-law, Charles and Donna Woods of Chelmsford. He is also survived by seven grandchildren. A private service was held this morning in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
