Obituary of Jean E. (Jablonka) Mendrala
Jean E. (Jablonka) Mendrala of Peabody, died Monday evening at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Max Mendrala who died in 1996.
She was born in Peabody, the daughter of the late Adam and Josephine (Dzielnik) Jablonka , was a graduate of Peabody High School in 1937 and a lifelong resident of Peabody.
She had been a member of the St. Joseph’ s Church Ladies Sodality and the Golden Agers of Peabody. She enjoyed Line Dancing.
She is survived by 2 grandchildren David Micalchuk of Virginia Beach, Va and Sherri
Erlewine of Simpsonville, SC, a great grandson, Carson Erlewine of SC, her former son - in-law, David Micalchuk of NJ, a dear friend, Maryann Mc Cool of Danvers, and many nieces and nephews including her caretaker, Diane Sonia of Peabody. She was the mother of the late Patty Micalchuk, and the sister of the late Ted Jablonka.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody location. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, Ma. 01923.
