Obituary of Josephine (Paredue) Paltanovich
Josephine (Paredue) Paltanovich, 87, beloved wife of the late Joseph Paltanovich, died Thursday morning at the Sunbridge Nursing Home in North Reading following a brief illness.
Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Boumilla) Paredue. She lived in Greater Lawrence and Southern New Hampshire area for several years, before moving with her family to Lynn where she attended Schools, and attended Corbett Junior High School. She lived in Lynnfield for about 26 years, then moved to Peabody in 1976 to Terrace Estates where she lived for 11 years, then moved to 75 Central St., where she lived for a few years.
Mrs. Paltanovich worked as a Hairdresser in Lynn for several years before she got married, then devoted herself to caring for her family. Later in life she worked as a Stitcher at the David Smith Clothing Company in Lynn, then employed with Hood industries in Wakefield before retiring.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Kathleen Paltan of Londonderry, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Arthur Lisi of Lynnfield; three grandchildren, Lynne Putnam and her husband Warren of Methuen, Cynthia Cima and her husband Don of Derry, NH and Greg Lisi of Lynnfield; a sister, Emily Libbey of Danvers; a great granddaughter, Isabel Putnam of Methuen and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John Paredue.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM in St. John’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
