Obituary of Blanche S. (Ouellette) LaBrie
Blanche S. (Ouellette) LaBrie 93 years of Peabody, wife of the late Arthur F. LaBrie Sr., died Saturday evening at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Peabody.
Mrs. LaBrie was born November 2, 1911 in Salem daughter of the late Ernest and Rose (Bolduc) Ouellette. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. LaBrie began her working career as a clerical staffer at GTE Sylvania and CBS Hytron in Salem. She then waitressed for many years at the former Caron Diner in Salem until her retirement.
Mrs. LaBrie is survived by a son and his wife, Arthur F. Jr., and Shirley LaBrie of Peabody; 4 grandchildren, Joy A. Taylor of Nashua NH, Paul M. LaBrie of Peabody, Michael J. LaBrie of Beverly and Linda A. Hassapis of No. Reading; 8 great grandchildren and 2 Great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. As per her request there will be no visiting hours. Arrangements by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers MA 01923.
