Obituary of Carmela Fabrizio

Carmela (Galante) Fabrizio, 96, of Peabody, died Wednesday evening at the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home, Salem after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Guissepe Fabrizio. Born in Naples, Italy on July 29, 1905, she was the daughter of the late Lorento and Thomasina (Cochula) Galante , she first lived in Beverly and had been a resident of Peabody for the past 80 years. She had been employed at the Regis Leather Co. And later at the Modern Leather Co. of Peabody prior to her retirement 45 years Ago. She had been a member of the Italian American Club of Peabody and the Peabody Life Center. She enjoyed cooking, knitting and being with her family. She is survived by 3 sons and 4 daughter-in-laws, Lawrence and Mary Fabrizio , Thomas and Kathleen Fabrizio, and Alice Fabrizio all of Peabody and Joseph and Claire Fabrizio of Braintree, Ma.; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, 12 Step-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Jerry Fabrizio and Anna Houde, the sister of the late Edward Ricky Galante, Pat Galante and Angelina Silveria. Her Funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. from the Conway facility at 12 Chestnut St., Peabody of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 11:00 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours on Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
