Obituary of William J. Conrad Sr.

William J. Bud Conrad Sr., 76, of West Peabody, died Sunday morning at his home after a short illness. He was the husband of Gladys (Moser) Conrad. He was born in Peabody on June 21, 1928, the son of the late Lawrence E. And Catherine (Boyce) Conrad and was a life long resident of the city. He had been a concrete truck driver for the former Lynn Sand & Stone Co. for more than 30 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 42 of Lynn. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Army and was a member of the VFW, Post 1011 of Peabody. He was an avid recreational traveler and enjoyed traveling across the country. Surviving him besides his wife are a son and daughter-in-law, William J. and Lucia Conrad Jr. of Peabody, two grandchildren, Leah M. and Craig Conrad of Peabody, a sister-in-law, Angie Guttierez and her son Alexander Guttierez of Peabody and his Brother and family, James and Alison Bruyette, and daughter Nicolle Bruyette all of Middleton, a cousin,Fred Boyce of North Manmouth, Maine. He was the brother of the late Lawrence E. Conrad. His Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:00 am from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St, Peabody Facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’ s Church, Lowell St., West Peabody at 9:00 AM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
