Obituary of John Allen Tatterfield

John Allen Tatterfield, 59, of Alfred Maine, died unexpectedly Tuesday at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. He was born in Peabody, MA on March 10,1945, the son of the late John S. and Constance (Vorel) Tatterfield and was raised in Peabody Graduating from Peabody Vocational High School. He had resided in Alfred, Maine for the past 15 years. He had been an electrician at the Salem Hospital in Salem, Ma for 15 years and was a member of the Internatioanal Brotherhood of Electical Workers Union, Local 42 of Boston. He loved to play golf and was a great outdoorsman, doing a lot of fishing and hunting in Maine. He was a member of the Bigest Buck Club of Maine. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Angela Tatterfield on Seabrook, NH, a daughter, Kimberley Tatterfield, of Danvers, MA, 4 grandchildren, Sage and Hailey Tatterfield of Seabrook, NH and Kirsten and Erik Tatterfield of Danvers, a brother, William Tatterfield of Ipswich, MA, 3 sisters, Sandra Tatterfield and Janice Vachon both of Danvers and Shirley Morrill of Lynn, Ma, He was the former husband of the late Patricia (Davis) Tatterfield and the father of the late John A. Tatterfield Jr. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM at St. John’ s Church, Peabody. Inurnment will be in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
