Obituary of Glenn Marques

Glenn Marques, 47, of Peabody, died early Thursday afternoon at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Lisa (Castonguay) Marques with whom he shared over twelve years of marriage. Born in Fort Dix, NJ, he was the son of the late Alfred Marques Jr., and Genevieve (Harney) Marques. He was raised and educated in Fall River, graduating from Diman Regional Vocational High School in 1974. Upon marrying his wife Lisa, he moved to Peabody and has resided in the city for over twelve years. For the past seven years, he was working as a systems database manager for a pharmaceutical company in Waltham prior to his illness. He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed playing golf and billiards. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by three sons and a daughter, Marcus Marques of Wilmington, and Casey, Joshua, and Genevieve Marques, all of Peabody; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Gregory Marques, Alfred Marques III, and his wife Denise, all of Fall River; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Daniel Fiola of Fall River. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Monday from 6 until 9 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Hospice of the North Shore. 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
