Obituary of Helen L. (Grace) Crafts Pinto

Helen L. (Grace) Crafts Pinto PEABODY—Helen L. (Grace) Crafts Pinto, 84, beloved wife of the late Kenneth Crafts, Sr. and the late Albert Pinto, died unexpectedly at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center Hospital in Burlington on Sunday. Born in Cambridge on May 15, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Sousa) Grace. She lived in Somerville in her youth and attended schools there. She graduated from Somerville High School. She lived in the Arlington and Cambridge areas after college, and moved to Peabody where she lived for the last 47 years. Mrs. Pinto worked first with Schrafts Chocolates in Charlestown, and then as a Clerk with several stores in Arlington. When living in Peabody, she was employed with Howard Clothing for Men, and then worked several years as a Technician for the Surgical Prep Team at Hunt Hospital in Danvers before retiring. She was a communicant at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody, a member of the Holy Ghost Society, and enjoyed gardening as well as a loyal Red Sox fan. She is survived by: one son, Kenneth J. Crafts of Peabody; a half-brother, Richard Grace, and a step-brother Joseph Silva, both of Peabody, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth Crafts, then Albert Pinto, and a step-mother, Rose Grace besides her parents. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A visitation will be held today from 5 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
