Obituary of David Thomas Lynch

David Thomas Lynch, 72, of West Peabody, died Monday at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA after a short illness. He was the husband of Teresa (Rossetti) Lynch with whom he shared 47 years of marriage. He was born in Boston on September 22, 1932, the son of the late David and Marjorie (Cromwell) Lynch and had resided there before moving to Peabody 43 years ago. He was a graduate of Matignon High School in Cambrige and then enlisted in the United States Coast Guard as a radio operator serving during the Korean War. Following his discharge, he went to work with the Western Union Company serving in the Boston area for 29 years prior to his retirement in 1985. He enjoyed puttering around his home, playing cards, especially Black Jack and being with his family. Surviving him besides his wife are a son, David T. Lynch of Peabody, a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa J. and Steven Nadeau of Peabody, a sister, Constance Wingard of Foxboro, MA, his cherished grandchildren, Ryan David and Lauren Nadeau both of Peabody . He was the brother of the late Joan Lynch. His funeral Will be held on Thursday from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’ s Church, West Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM.
