Obituary of Anna L. Blomster

Anna L. (Nickerson) (McMahan) Blomster LYNN Anna L. (Nickerson) (McMahan) Blomster, 75, died Wednesday afternoon July 3 at the Residence Care Center in Framingham following a long illness. She was the former wife of Richard Blomster and the late Claude P. McMahan, Jr. Born in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Bertha (Hedlundh) Nickerson. She lived in Lynn in her youth and attended Lynn schools. Mrs. Blomster worked as a Nurse’ s Aide at the Abbott House and Lenox Hill Nursing Home, was a well-liked Waitress at Varley’ s Diner, and also at AGFA in Wilmington before retiring. She loved dancing, and with her skills she was a Dance Teacher with Arthur Murray’ s Studio and also liked gardening. She is survived by: one son, Claude McMahan of Wyoming; three daughters, Louana C. Cunha of Peabody, Cathleen Hammell of NJ, and Paula Blomster of NH; three brothers, Robert Nickerson of Billerica, Ronald Nickerson of Sahvartia, AZ, and William Nickerson of Tyngsboro, MA; three sisters, Dorothy McIsaac of Lynn, Louise McAskill of Wauchula, FL, and Joan Russell of Danvers; 12 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Becky Lykins and Claudia Ann Hayward, a brother, Wilbur Nickerson, and 2 sisters, Lillian Hatch and Jean LaBonte. A family commemoration ceremony was held this week at Pine Grove Cemetery. Cremation ceremony planned with the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody.
