Obituary of Josephine C. (Luczko) Walor
Josephine C. (Luczko) Walor, 93, of Peabody, died early Saturday afternoon at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of Joseph Walor with whom she shared over 71 years of marriage this past June.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Stefania (Hyjek) Luczko. She was raised and educated in Salem and has been living in Peabody for the past 51 years.
She first worked as an assembler for GTE Sylvania and later before her retirement, she worked for 20 years as a floor girl for the Ideal Baby Shoe Company in Danvers.
She enjoyed dancing and traveling and was a member of the Golden Agers and the Peter A. Torigian Community Life Center in Peabody.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Richard Madore of Georgetown, and Delores and Conrad Lachendro of Enfield, Ct; 5 grandchildren, Christopher and his wife Crystal Lachendro of Enfield, Ct, Kevin and Cheryl Lachendro of Georgetown, Jeffrey and his wife Linda Madore of Vernon Hills, Ill, Brenda Madore Mortimer and her husband Michael of Millis, and Andrea Madore of Georgetown, and is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
