Obituary of Barbara (Molloy) Levy
Barbara Jean (Molloy) Levy, 58, of West Peabody, died Friday morning at her residence after a long illness. She was the wife of Robert B. Levy with whom she shared 23 years of marriage.
She was born and raised in Boston, the daughter of the late Michael and Barbara (La Porti) Molloy and had resided in Peabody for the past 23 years.
She was first employed at the former Boston Gardens Sports Arena. Later she was a nurse’ s aide for 20 years at the Rainbow Nursing Home of Peabody. She enjoyed cooking, painting and drawing.
Surviving her besides her husband are 2 sons, Mark and Brett Emery both of New Jersey, a daughter and son-in-law, Justine and James Sousa of Peabody, a brother, Fred Pelton of Winthrop, ME, 4 sisters, Sandra Minor of Portland, Me, Theresa Joan Molloy of Peabody, Jacqueline James of Hampton, NH and Karen Molloy of Nashua, NH, 7 grandchildren, Amanda and Brittany Sousa of Peabody, Leigha, Ashley, Brittany, Cory and Dylan Emery all of NJ, a brother-in-law, Charles Leighton of Woodland Hill, CA, a step daughter, Donna Arnold and her children Matthew and Josh Arnold all of Sharon, a step-son, Peter Levy of New Mexico, an aunt, Mae Turner of Nashua, NH and uncle, Robert Molloy of Walpole and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Kathleen Molloy.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2- 4 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
