Obituary of John Quadros

John Quadros, 85, of Peabody, died early Monday evening at the Radius Healthcare Center in Danvers following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Nelia (Dores) Quadros with whom he shared over 30 years of marriage, and the late Mildred Quadros who died in 1971. Born in Peabody, he was he son of the late Mateus and Helena (Silva) de Quadros. He was a lifelong resident of Peabody, attended Peabody schools and was a graduate of Peabody High School. Prior to retiring in 1984, he worked for the city of Peabody as a heavy equipment operator at the city’ s landfill and as a snow plow operator for over seventeen years. He was a handy automobile mechanic and carpenter and also enjoyed gardening. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Quadros of Peabody, a son-in-law, Jack Tenney of Peabody; a brother, Albano Quadros of Salem, and a grandson, Willie Tenney of Peabody. He was the father of the late June Tenney, brother of the late Eugenia Cash, Marie Williams, and James Quadros. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut Street, Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Friday from 5 until 8 PM. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
