Obituary of Louis E. Prior

Louis E. Prior, 73, of Newbury St., Peabody, died late Tuesday afternoon at the Salem Hospital following a short illness. He was the former husband of Patricia (Kelly) Prior. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Edward & Margaret (Welch) Prior. He was raised in the Boston area and had attended Boston Public Schools and was a graduate of Boston English High School, class of 1946. He later moved to Harvard, MA and has been a resident of Peabody for the past 47 years. He had worked as a salesman in the Food Industry, selling to many grocery stores including the First National Store and various other stores in eastern Massachusetts. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Leo Counsel 508 of Peabody and the NRA. He is survived by 3 sons and daughter-in-laws, Michael & Jean Prior of Westport, Ma. Richard & Pam Prior of Georgetown, and Gerry & Janet Prior of Stratham, NH; 3 daughters and a son-in-law; Patti Roberts and Peggy White, both of Peabody, and Cathy & Bill Kenny of Stratham, NH, and 17 grandchildren. His Funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home,at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, (978) 531-0398, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody, at 9:00 AM . Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Friday from 4-8 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
