Obituary of Joseph Edward Cardoza
Joseph Edward Cardoza, 77, of Leisure Drive, Center Ossipee, New Hampshire, died July 30, 2006 at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, NH. He was the loving husband of the late Rita Blanche (Brousseau) Cardoza.
Born April 2, 1929 in Peabody, he was the son of the late Edward and Virginia (Filda) Cardoza. He has lived in Center Ossipee for the past 29 years and previously lived in Danvers for many years.
He was a veteran of the Korean War who served with the United States Army. After the war, he worked for Bellofram Industries in Burlington and for Governor Wentworth School District at Ossipee Central School, Carpenter School and Tuftonboro Central School.
He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Center Ossipee and served as Eucharistic Minister. He also was a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign War club in both Danvers and Ossipee.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Cardoza of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Keith Cardoza of Manchester, NH, four daughters, Linda Hyde of Salem, Sandra Iovanne of Peabody, Donna and her husband, Paul Pepper of Danvers, and Paula Weeks of Beverly, a sister, Margaret Miedzionoski of Danvers, and is also survived by three granddaughters, six grandsons, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held in Center Ossipee, New Hampshire on Thursday, August 3, 2006 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church. Visiting hours in New Hampshire will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home, Rt. 16, West Ossipee, New Hampshire.
A visitation will also be held in Peabody on Friday, August 4, 2006 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A graved side service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem, MA.
