Obituary of Florence (Griffin) Pouliot

Florence (Griffin) Pouliot, 82, of Beverly and formerly of Peabody, died on Thanksgiving morning at the Montserrat Nursing Home, Beverly after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Antonio Joseph Pouliot who died in 1994. She was born in Peabody on January 17, 1922, the daughter of the late George D. and Marie E. (Gelineau) Griffin and had resided here most of her life before moving to Beverly 15 years ago. She had been employed in the Cafeteria department of the Peabody School System for 14 years prior to her retirement. She also cooked on Saturdays for many years at St. John’ s Church Rectory in Peabody. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne M. and Salvatore Carvevale of Beverly, 3 grandchildren, Pamela and her husband Kevin Remmington of Peabody, Maryann and her husband Stephen Graham of Beverly and Michael Pashalian of Del Ray Beach, FL, 3 great grandchildren, Ryan and Taylor Remmington and Jonathan Graham; 2 brothers, Joseph and Richard Griffin of Peabody , 3 Sisters, Ruth Bonfanti of Gloucester, Margaret Joyce of Lynnfield and Patricia Lawrence of Fl. and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George Griffin and Edith Griffin Fournier. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 9:00 a.m. Burial in Puritan Lawn Mem. Park, Peabody. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
