Obituary of Mary Cecilia Devlin

Mary Cecilia Devlin, 62, of 16 Hale Street, Beverly, and formerly of Peabody, died Thursday evening at the NS Arc Home. She was the daughter of the late Leo G. and Mary (Hawkins) Devlin and had resided In Peabody for most of her life before moving to Beverly 10 years ago. She had worked in the City of Peabody School cafeteria Dept. For 10 years and Also volunteered for many years at local Nursing Homes. She had been a Twenty Year Participant at the Mass. Special Olympics where she excelled in Swimming, track and field and bowling. She also attended the Catherine Day adult Day School in Peabody Until 1998. She is survived by two brother and sister-in-laws, Paul L. And Joan Devlin of Washington, D.C. and Ralph T. And Susan Devlin of Wayland; 3 nieces, Mary C. Devlin of Cambridge, Elizabeth Libby Devlin of Boston and Sarah Devlin of Maine, 4 nephews, Paul L. Devlin Jr. of Boston, Peter A. Devlin of Peabody, and Thomas and Sean Devlin both of Wayland, Ma. and many cousins, grandneices and grandnephews. She was the sister - in-law of the late Dorothy (Terrio) Devlin. Her Funeral will be Held on Monday at 8:15 a.m. from the Conway facility at 12 Chestnut St., Peabody of the Conway, Cahill - Brodeur Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 9:00 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours on Sunday from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friend kindly invited. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the NS Arc, 64 Holten St., Danvers, Ma. 01923 in her memory.
