Obituary of Luisa "Louise" Ambrazavitch
Louisa “Louise” Ambrazavitch, 92, of Peabody died peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Army Lt. Col. Michael Ambrazavitch. She was born in Italy, the daughter of the late Francesco and Karolina (Cijan) Devetak and was raised and educated there before moving to the State of Washington and had worked at Ft Lewis in the Fifties. She later moved to Peabody with her husband in the late sixties and was employed as a seamstress at Jordan March Company at the North Shore Mall prior to her retirement. She was an active member of the former St. Joseph Church, Peabody, and also belonged to the Association of North Shore Catholic Women, the Peabody Historical Society and the daughters of St. Joseph of Peabody. Louise had been a member of the Highland Greens golf league and was crowned a champion there. She also participated in the women’s bowling league at the Sunnyside Bowl in Danvers. Louise received her high school diploma from the P.R.E.P. Center in Peabody and later attended North Shore Community College in Beverly. She is survived by many relatives and good friends and was the sister of the late Maria Rescic, and Francesco Devetak of Italy. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur funeral home at the 82 Lynn St, Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, South Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem MA.
