Obituary of Christopher J. Permatteo

Christopher J. Permatteo, 45, of Lynn passed away; Thursday July 11 at the hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Michelle (Holak) Permatteo. Christopher was born on May 20, 1974, in Lynn, MA, son of Robert A. Permatteo & Vicki (Giannantonio) Permatteo. He was raised and educated in Lynnfield, graduating from Lynnfield High School, Class of ’92. He then went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree from Mount Ida College in Newton, MA. Christopher was an Optician for Insight Optical in Burlington, MA. In his spare time, Chris enjoyed a multitude of projects. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, building elaborate structures out of Legos, and playing guitar. Christopher also loved his down time; sitting by the fire with a beer; music always heard in the background. He was very handy, took pride out of being organized, and liked things to be pristine. Chris was a sociable person; he was able to keep a conversation going for hours. He cherished his friends and family, and will be truly missed by all who knew him. Besides his loving wife and parents, he is survived by a sister and her husband, Jennifer and Michael Sheehan; his father and mother-in-law, Walter and Linda Holak; his sister-in-law, Melissa Jackson; and aunt, Janice Kretchman; his nephews, Benjamin Sheehan, Dante Jackson, and Gabriel Harris, and his beloved dog, Smokie, and many friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, MA 01960, from 4P.M. – 8P.M. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, July 18, at Our Lady of The Assumption Church, Lynnfield at 10A.M.
