Obituary of Grace V. (Pisano) Stansfield

Grace V. (Pisano) Stansfield, 94, of Peabody, died peacefully on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late William Stanfield who died in 2007. A lifelong Peabody resident, she was born on May 17, 1925, the daughter of the late George P. and Carmela (Castronovo) Pisano and was a graduate of Peabody High School. Grace had been an Assistant buyer in the leather goods department of Daniel Lowe’s Store in Salem, MA for 30 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed going to the Peabody Senior Center and playing cards and beano. She also liked scratching lottery tickets but her most treasured time was spent caring for her family and seeing them grow to maturity. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard A. and Sharon Stansfield of Peabody, a daughter, Cindi M. McGonagle of Danvers, her precious grandchildren and their spouses, Jeff and Carole McGonagle of Danvers, MA,, Joseph and Melanie McGonagle of Hopedale, MA., Mr. and Mrs. William Stansfield of Ipswich, MA, and Tara Stansfield of Peabody, MA;, her five great grandchildren, Cameron, Ryder, Brady and Declan McGonagle and Alice Stansfield and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Catherine Mallia. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility from 9:00 until 10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Lynn St., Peabody at 11:00 AM.
