Obituary of Alice A. (Santorella) Caron

Alice A. (Santorella) Caron, 80, of Peabody, died on Wednesday surrounded by her family following a brief illness at Salem Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late Norman A. Caron. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Twoomey) Santorella. She was a life-long resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School. Alice was employed for over 20 years as a telephone operator for AT&T and Verizon. Prior to her working for the phone company, she enjoyed working with her husband to run the family-owned Caron’s Diner on Bridge St in Salem. Alice is survived by her children, Diana Kaye and her husband Alan, Norman Blaise Caron, Troy T Caron, Aliceann Caron, and Thomas J. Caron, her two brothers Tony Santorella and the late Joseph Santorella and her sister Connie Lydon. She is also survived by her four devoted grandchildren, Matthew Kaye, Scott Kaye, Timothy Cohen, and Stephen Cohen.
