Obituary of Robert C. McEachern

Robert C. McEachern, 74, of Danvers, passed away late Wednesday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by his family, following a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Claudia (Marquis) McEachern. Robert was born in Salem, MA, on November 28, 1944, son of the late Sherman McEachern and Anita (Cote) (McEachern) Shambos. After serving in the U.S. Army, Robert worked hard to be able to provide for his family and became a well-known and respected plumber for 50 years. Before retirement, Robert was the proprietor of Bob McEachern Plumbing & Heating. Aside from plumbing, he enjoyed boating, traveling, celebrating Halloween, and spending time with family. Robert was a gentle, hard-working man who will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Besides his loving wife of 50 years, he leaves behind his sons, Douglas McEachern & his wife Shannon of Hudson, NH, Eric McEachern and his fiancée Rhonda Miller of Peabody; a granddaughter, Caydence McEachern; his sisters, Sharon Gurdon and Sheila Jones, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Sandy Tremblay. A visitation for Robert will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody from 10A.M – 12P.M. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 12.P.M.
