Obituary of William G. McCarthy

Peabody – William G. McCarthy 49, formerly of Lynnfield, died Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at home following a long battle with cancer.

Born in Saugus, he was the son of Marilyn M. (Card) McCarthy of Peabody and Francis W. McCarthy Jr. of Florida. He received his education in the Lynnfield school system and graduated from Lynnfield High School, class of 1987.

Mr. McCarthy had been employed for many years as a mechanic at the Sagamore Spring Golf Club in Lynnfield until the time of his illness.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Lillian R. McCarthy of Peabody and Margaret McCarthy of North Reading and a brother, Robert F. McCarthy of Watertown.

A celebration of his life will be planned by the family at a later date. Arrangements by the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody.
