Obituary of Maria Do Ceu Santos

Peabody – Maria Do Céu Santos 88, beloved wife of Jose Dos Santos, died Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Salem Hospital.

Born in Fronhas, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Abilio Dos Santos Cunha and Maria Candida Nogueira. She immigrated to the United States with her husband in 1968, settling in Peabody where they have since resided.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Lucia Neves and her husband, Rui of Peabody and Clara Santos and her husband, Jose Antonio of Peabody, four grandchildren, Jose Neves and his wife, Catherine, Tania Medeiros and her husband, Jason, Carina Antonio and Marco Antonio, four great grandchildren, Jason Jr. and Sophia Medeiros and Tahlia and Andrea Neves and many extended family and friends. She was also the sister of the late Carlos Cunha and Jose Da Cunha.

Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Her funeral Mass and entombment will take place in Portugal. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105-3678.
