Obituary of Lauren Mary Doucette

 Lauren M. Doucette, 44, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn, passed away on September 20, 2019.

Prior to moving to Peabody 15 years ago, Lauren was brought up in Lynn, MA, where she attended St. Mary’s High School, and was a graduate of the Class of 1993. She went on to attend North Shore Community College, where she received an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science- Animal Care Specialist in May 2010. She also attended Killer Kowalski’s Pro Wrestling School, where she made many wonderful and lasting friendships. In her earlier years, she traveled throughout the United States and South Africa with the 7-13 band.

Lauren was a unique person, from her many different hairstyles to her own sense of fashion. She loved the group “The Monkees”, whom she met in person many times when she attended their concerts. She was also a great fan of David Bowie, for whom she named her precious cat after.

She leaves behind her parents, Richard and Mary (Dow) Doucette of Lynn, her birth parents, Valerie (Collis) White of Maine, and Thomas Gately and his wife, Veronica, of Washington, her brother, Joseph Gately and his wife Jennifer of Massachusetts,  grandmother, Elizabeth Dickinson and her husband, Ronald, of New Hampshire, and her beloved cat, Bowie. She also leaves behind many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Clinton Jorgensen, and her beloved cat, Tessie.

Her family wishes to thank all of the friends and neighbors who were so caring at this difficult time.

The family has also suggested that anyone wishing to honor Lauren, do so with an act of kindness in her memory.

Funeral services for Lauren were held privately. Burial took place in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn.
