Obituary of Paul J. A. Belyea
Lynn – Paul J. A. Belyea, 64, beloved husband of Paula A. (DeGusto) Belyea, died Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at home with his wife and family by his side.
Born in Marblehead, he was the son of the late William F. and Patricia F. (Lynam) Belyea. He was a graduate of the Claude H. Patten Vocational School in Beverly.
Mr. Belyea had been employed for thirty-two years as a police officer for the Town of Marblehead until the time of his retirement in 2010. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
A longtime resident of Lynn, he had a love for American History and enjoyed playing his part in 18th Century British reenactments of the American Revolution.
In addition to his wife, with whom he shared thirty-six years of marriage, he is survived by a sister, Patricia Robitaille of Andover and two brothers, Thomas Belyea of Merrimack, NH and Richard Belyea of Peabody.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody, Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial at the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
