Obituary of Ralph F Brown, Jr
Ralph F. Brown, Jr, 67, of Lynn, passed away suddenly at his residence, following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the loving husband of Kathy (Churchill) Brown, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage.
Born in Malden, MA, on September 7, 1952, he was the son of the late Ralph F. Brown, Sr. and Anne Marie (Doherty) Brown. He was raised and educated there, then going on to receive a degree in Biotechnology.
He had worked as a Senior Tech for ImmunoGen Inc., in Norwood, MA, prior to retiring in October of 2018. He was also a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield. In is spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, working around the house, such as yard work and doing laundry, and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. He was a hard-working family man, a wonderful care taker, always putting the needs of his family before his own.
Besides his loving wife of 46 years, he is survived by his children, Stephanie Murphy & her husband Jay of Auburn, NH, Matthew Brown of AZ; his grandchildren, Jaxson and Mia Murphy; his siblings, Paula Rice & her husband Steve of Malden, Michael Brown & his wife Carol of Medfield, Lisa Gilligan & her husband Danny of Malden; his adored dog, Sunny, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October, 17, from 4-8P.M., at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. His funeral will be held on Friday, October 18, at 9:00A.M. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 17 Grove St., Lynnfield, at 10:00A.M. Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502.
