Obituary of John M Lobao
John M Lobao died at Beverly Hospital at the age of 86. He was the loving husband of Irene (Paulino) Lobao and the son of the late John C. and Virginia (Chaves) Lobao. He worked for many years as a wholesale plumber and heating salesman.
As a 1st lieutenant in the U.S. Army John participated in many covert missions and also accompanied Korean Veterans returning for the war to their final resting place, offering their families condolences on behalf of the U.S. Army for their supreme sacrifice.
John loved music, had a beautiful voice and played the clarinet and organ. He took pride in the home he built and his yard. Mostly he took pride in the accomplishments of his sons and granddaughters.
In addition to his loving wife Irene, he is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey L Lobao and his wife Dorothy of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Douglas J. Lobao and his wife Kathy of Peabody, his two granddaughters, Heather Lobao of London, England, and Ashley Irene Lobao of Seattle, WA and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Wilson Lobao Sr, James Lobao, Evangeline Chipman, and Violet Newey and his sisters-in-law, Mary Mello and Louise Bento and brothers-in-law, Anebal Paulino and Leo Paulino.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org/MANH
