Obituary of Alice Barbara (Laudansky) Fabrizio

Alice B. (Laudansky) Fabrizio, 94, of Peabody, entered Eternal Glory, Tuesday morning at her residence following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Ciriaco “Jerry” Fabrizio, who passed away in 1994.

Alice was born in Boston, on December 1, 1924, daughter of the late Peter and Magdalena (Janauskas) Laudansky. She was raised and educated in Dorchester, and was a graduate of the Jeremiah Burke High School in Dorchester.

She began her career as a bookkeeper for WBZ TV, and then went on to be a bookkeeper for Little Brown Publishers. She also had a generous spirit, volunteering her time as a nurse for the Red Cross, and also assisted in the war effort, during WWII, with working on essential radar equipment for MIT. She was also a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Peabody. In her spare time, she enjoyed polka dancing, bowling for the Eastman Gelatin League, but most importantly, devoting her time and love to her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Alice’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff from Care Dimensions; Erin, Laurie and Lisa, and also to the staff of Associated Home Care; Mamita and Christine, and also to her aide, Madeline, for their care and compassion towards Alice.

She is survived by her children, Ann M. Dumont & her husband Ronald L. Dumont, Jr. of Methuen, Judith J. Fabrizio of Peabody, Mark P. Fabrizio of Peabody, David M. Fabrizio and his wife Shelley of NC, and Gary Fabrizio of Peabody; her grandchildren; Lauren A. Dumont & Kelley A. Dumont of Methuen. She was predeceased by a son, Anthony “Tony” Fabrizio, and her siblings, Edward Laudan, Peter Laudansky, and Margaret Borelli.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, from 9-11A.M., at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a service in the funeral home at 11A.M. Services will conclude at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
